#Thailand#Satun#Mueang Satun#Attraction Koh Khai or Khai Island is the symbol of Satun Province. It is the midpoint of sailing from Pak Bara Pier to Koh Lipe. With surrounded by emerald clear sea and the area on the north side of the island is a sea bridge and cliff, so Koh Khai cannot be miss by tourists. Koh Khai is located at Koh Sarai sub-district, Amphoe Mueang, Satun Province. The distance from the island to the southwest of Pak Bara Pier is 33 kilometers. Koh Khai area is about 300 meters long and 100 meters wide. The island seems like 2 small rock islands distance of about 250 meters which have a sand dune link between both islands. Most rocks are sandstone with directional structures. The cracks often contain iron oxide which makes it more resistant to erosion than ordinary sandstone. Some areas found of the three-dimensional mesh of iron oxide have eroded out. The northern side of the island has a rocky shoreline which the shape was crafted by the wave to be beautiful and strange. This rock is a symbol of tourism in Satun. (Tarutao National Park does not allow overnight stay on the island and no facilities on the island)
